We are really happy to see our customers switching to cast iron cookware and moving to a healthier lifestyle. Cooking in cast iron cookware is beneficial - it enriches food with iron content and makes dishes really tasty.

We consistently reach out to customers to understand feedback and how we can improve. From our customer feedback channels, we understood that hot handles were an issue that made their experience hard.

VOICE OF TIV TRIBE

We spoke to 200+ customers and analyzed 3000+ feedback / survey results to understand the problem better. We found that customers were using cloth / mitts / rubber mats as an alternative. There were 4 key findings that we got from this on the product requirement -

1. A simple one size fits all solution for all their cast iron cookware
2. A tight anti slip fit is key to avoid accidents
3. Fire safe and super thick sleeve
4. Washable and easy to clean

NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT - BEHIND THE SCENES

The first thing we did was test out all the existing solutions. Just in case the answer was right under our noses. We tested 20 different existing solutions. Some were good but did not fit all 4 of our product specifications.

We went to the drawing board to build a design that meets the exact requirement. As we built out the prototype, we face many road blocks. Getting the right thickness and build to meet food grade and heat resistance was very challenging. It took us 10 failed prototypes before we got it right.

All the effort was worth it when we tested the product.
