Pav Bhaji Recipe | Easy Mumbai Street Style Pav Bhaji | The Indus Valley

Easy Pav Bhaji Recipe :

To a pressure cooker add below mentioned ingredients

  • Diced Carrot- 1 
  • Cauliflower florets- 8 
  • Beans - 10
  • Potato- 5
  • Water, Pour Water until veggies level 
  • Salt - 1 tsp

Pressure cook for 3 whistles in low to medium flame and allow the cooker to depressurise on its own 

Once pressure is released, mash the veggies properly with a masher

To a flat based utensil, add 1 tsp of butter and 1 tbsp of refined oil 

Add 2 finely chopped onions 

Mix and cook in medium flame until it becomes translucent 

Add 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste, mix and cook until raw smell fades out 

Add 3finely chopped tomatoes, mix and cook for 2 mins in medium flame 

Add 1 tsp of pav bhaji masala and 1 tsp of salt

Mix and cook until tomatoes becomes soft and mushy 

Add 1 finely chopped capsicum, 2 tsp of Kashmiri chilli powder 

Mix and cook until capsicum becomes soft in medium flame

Add mashed veggies , 1 tsp of pav bhaji masala, 1 tsp of degi chilli powder and 1 tsp of butter

Give it a good mix and cook for another 5 mins in low to medium flame 

Pour water as per required consistency, salt to taste and 1 tsp of butter 

Give a final mix , cover and cook for another 4-5 minutes

Garnish with coriander leaf

Transfer to serving bowl 

Squeeze some lemon juice on bhaji, garnish with finely chopped coriander leaf and finely chopped onion 

Take a bite with pav and enjoy
